Hiking in the beautiful cloud forest of central Honduras. The mountains pictured are part of Parque Nacional Cerro Azul Meámbar (PANACAM), close to Lago Yojoa.

Paddling a lancha around Lago de Yojoa in central Honduras.
Upon waking to a warm ocean breeze in the coastal town of Tela, we rented bicycles to explore the surrounding Garífuna villages. These lanchas are a common mode of transport and I can understand why when a couple dollars for a ride in one of these can save you a 25km bike ride under the hot Honduran sun.
Watching the sun set behind overwater thatched huts on Roatan, in the Bay Islands off Honduras.
After nibbling on the reef algae, a turtle makes its way to the surface accompanied by remoras. Their commensalist relationship allows for these peculiar fish to hitch a ride on the turtle's shell via a sucker-like organ, derived from a modified dorsal fin.
The brightest and most vibrant sunrise I had seen from the island of Utila, in the Bay Islands off Honduras. This morning was clear enough to see the mountains of La Ceiba in the distance.
