Who Am I?

My name is Kelsie DiPerna and I am a photographer, biologist, and avid traveller now residing in San Diego, California. I received a Bachelors of Science in Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa in 2013, and have since managed a reforestation project in Madagascar, a sea turtle conservation project in Mexico, worked a scuba Divemaster in Honduras, and have traveled the world as a freelance photographer and writer. In recent years, I've decided to take my love for protecting nature, along with my deep passions for travel and photography, to create this platform for sharing the culmination of these.

Mission

I would like to lend an eye to where humanity intersects nature. Photographically, I like to illuminate the interface where people exist in their environments, as I feel that this is where we are the most raw and elementally ourselves. This website was originally created in a dream to showcase places off-the-beaten track that aren't covered in other travel blogs, but has evolved into a representation of my life and work, for all that I am.  I’m passionate about nature, conservation, hiking, spirituality, and travel, and am here to dutifully share these passions with you.
